Message	Double clutching (from what I know) is when you push the clutch in while disengaging gears, then let the clutch out, then match the revs for the next gear, then clutch in, then shift into gear, then clutch out finally. It is used on transmissions with no synchronizers (semi-trucks and race cars) because they don't have synchros to get it into gear if the tranny is not at the right speed. Correct me if I'm wrong on any of this... I don't think it has much use on modern synchronized transmissions unless you are going to take extra car to not wear out the synchros.
